Mike Shaw

Age: 44
Hometown: New Harmony, UT

Since his first trip to the high sierras as a little boy, Mike Shaw has been an avid angler. In the early 90's Mike became fascinated with catching giant striped bass on trout imitating lures and went on to create the MS Slammer. Since then Mike has caught stripers to 38lbs, lake trout to 32lbs, largemouth bass to 10lbs and a 5 fish limit of Northern Strain largemouth that tipped the scales at over 32lbs. Mike enjoys all types of fishing from downrigger trolling, to casting, to shore fishing and saltwater. If there's a big fish on the west coast that would eat a Slammer, Mike has probably fished for it! Mike doesn't have a favorite Slammer color or size because he always loves to experiement and try new combinations!
