Hi Mike, I have some slammers on order but I did manage to get my hands on one last week. I couldn't wait to use one after fishing with Brian Long and seeing a nice bass boil on it. I had a couple hours before i went to work at The Bait & Tackle Store in Escondido so I went up to Lake Wolford. My First strike on my 9" dark trout MsSlammer got me a 10 lb 11 oz. hawg!! Got pic's and released her. Thanks, Mike for making a quality big bass bait!! Tight Lines & Soft Taps, Mike Kostial

Word...I am fortunate to be Mike Shaw's Japan Distributor. The previous post is my Japanese friend, Bei. Sorry for the spelling on 'Shaw', but the message is clear...In his big bait world, the Slammer is No. 1, and has 44 fish this year to prove it. In perspective, a 50 cm. fish is about 4 to 5 pounds, 20 inches in lenght. This is equal to a ten pound Calif. fish. About a fifth of the 44 fish are of this class. Bei is a natural--he has been fishing less than a year. Still backlashing, but he is tough--driving an average of 6 hrs. each way to the lake. 13 different lakes means that he and the slammer are not a one lake, one pattern show. He fishes from the shore, and he catches fish almost ever trip. Pure. He may be the next 'Mike Long' of Japan. He came into my store today, and gretted me with the usual 'Capt...the MS Slammer is No. 1' I know. We are sold out constantly; the slammer is the most popular wood big bait in Japan. As Bei would say 'Slammer....No1... Fishing 'aint luck...tie on a Slammer instead. Capt. GV

Where can I find your lure, does Turner's Outdoorsman carry it? Also what pound test line should you use with it and is a graphite rod acceptable to use with it? With a medium taper?

Mike, Can you please tell me when you will have the 9" in the original rainbow trout color? Rough estimate will be fine, I'd like to get the 12" but I only use spining reels not bait casters. Have nothing big/heavy enough to handle that lure size.

Mike, Sent out my check today 05/09/02 for the 9", if you have the orginal or dark trout color when you go to ship that would be great. If this lure works I will be back. Hope you get blessed on your fishing trip............

Mikes M.S.Slammer has the best action of any other trout plug I have ever used and believe me I have used them all infact I have over 20 different plugs and I only use the M.S.Slammer because of the success I had on it and they are the best of the best . Mike good luck and best of wishes to you and your company. Tight Lines , Ryan Bearden

This is the most realistic looking lure I've seen! When you cast it, it even looks like a real fish in the air!! I don't own one yet, but I told my father-in-law about it and he went and got one. We went fishing this morning and on his first cast, he pulled out a nice 2 pounder! I'll be picking one up very shortly!

As a past president of both the Silverwood and Southern California Striped Bass Club, I have been fortunate enough to have Pro Staff anglers allow me to field test their product. The MS Slammer is a Top Shelf Lure! These plugs "Do It All", meaning most of all attracting trophy game fish by natural swimming motion, coupled with life like finish and large eyes. Secondly the casting characteristics are second to none. I can't wait to stick a monster with your new plug, Be Good....jac
